Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover! Or Do You?

People always say 'Don't judge a book by it's cover', but we all do. A cover is the first thing you see when you pick up a book, which is why it's important that you think about the cover for your book. Do the models on the front look like you characters? Does the symbol on the front represent an important symbol in the book? It's the same for the title of your book. Does the title match what's inside it? Does it reflect the book or the journey that the character's take?
These are all things that you have to think about.
Now, let's look at some examples of good and bad titles and covers.
And here's some good examples of covers that suit both the book and the title.
As you can see, there's a big difference between the covers above. The bad covers would make it difficult for an audience pick up the book, but the good covers represent the story they tell and the models on the front suit the character/s in the book.
Are you having difficulty with your cover? Trying to find a good cover designer, but don't want to spent an obscene amount of money? Well, don't panic! I'll be posting a list of my favourite cover designers soon to help you out.
